Well fed and well rested thanks to some trail magic, back to the trail. It seemed the rain forced a lot of hikers indoors. I recognized a bunch of people getting on with their hikes. Relatively easy 15.8 mile day. There was a hill called Jacobs Ladder that seemed to never end went straight up. An elevation gain of 628 feet in .8 mile. Doesn't sound like much but, oh mamma, with 30ish pounds on your back it took me a while to conquer it. I took a long break and hung out with that giant snail. Nice fella.
