Day 9 zero day

Iced my knees and drank left over Budweiser. Went shopping for food. And bought some new boots. They should be awesome! They can't be worse than what I started with. Blisters bad. Oh! And I had to replace a shirt I gave drifter Bill and wool socks I gave Sarah the runaway. Another hiker told me they made it off the trail alive. Hope everyone in the real world is doing well!!! Let me know you are!!! I'm going to the bonfire out front! Later

    Hi, John! I finally caught up with you. It looks like you're having a great hike, blisters and all. Lots of good company. And doesn't real food and drink, in a proper chair followed by a bed now and then, do some good? Those new Merrells look fine; they should take you to Maine in style & comfort.
